📌 Present Tense
Rule-1: Present Indefinite (Habitual / Universal Truth)
Subject singular হলে verb + s/es হবে। Habitual কাজ, Universal truth, সাধারণ তথ্য প্রকাশে ব্যবহার হয়।
Signal Words: always, usually, often, every day, generally, sometimes.
Example:
He always goes to school.
Water boils at 100°C.
Rule-2: Present Continuous (Ongoing Action)
am/is/are + verb+ing. বর্তমানে ঘটছে এমন কাজ বা temporary কাজ বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।
Signal Words: now, at this moment, look, listen.
Example:
Look! The baby is crying.
They are playing football now.
Rule-3: Present Perfect
have/has + past participle. অতীতে শুরু হয়ে এখনো relevant।
Signal Words: just, already, yet, ever, never, recently.
Example:
I have finished my homework.
He has just left.
Rule-4: Present Perfect Continuous
have/has been + verb+ing. অতীতে শুরু হয়ে এখনো চলছে।
Signal Words: since, for.
Example:
She has been reading since morning.

Rule-5: Past Indefinite
Verb-এর past form। অতীতে সম্পন্ন কাজ।
Signal Words: yesterday, ago, last year.
Example:
He came here yesterday.
They played football last week.
Rule-6: Past Continuous
was/were + verb+ing. অতীতে কোনো সময় চলমান কাজ বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।
Signal Words: while, when, at that time.
Example:
He was watching TV when I called him.
They were studying while I was sleeping.
Rule-7: Past Perfect
had + past participle. অতীতে দুটি কাজ হলে আগে হওয়া কাজ।
Signal Words: before, after, already.
Example:
The train had left before we reached the station.
After he had finished, he went home.
Rule-8: Past Perfect Continuous
had been + verb+ing. অতীতে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে চলমান কাজ।
Example:
He had been reading for two hours before I came.
📌 Future Tense
Rule-9: Future Indefinite
shall/will + base verb. ভবিষ্যতের কাজ বোঝাতে।
Signal Words: tomorrow, next week.
Example:
I will go to Dhaka tomorrow.
Rule-10: Future Continuous
shall/will be + verb+ing. ভবিষ্যতের কোনো সময়ে চলমান কাজ বোঝাতে।
Example:
I will be reading at 8 PM tomorrow.
Rule-11: Future Perfect
shall/will have + past participle. নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের আগে সম্পন্ন হবে।
Signal Words: by this time, by next year.
Example:
By 2026, I will have completed my degree.
Rule-12: Future Perfect Continuous
shall/will have been + verb+ing. নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত চলমান থাকবে।
Example:
By next year, I will have been working here for 5 years.
⚡ Extra Important Rules (Exam-Oriented)
- Conditional Sentences: If + Present → Future, If + Past → would/could, If + Past Perfect → would have + past participle.
- Subjunctive Mood: Wish, If only, As if → past form / were।
- Incomplete Conditionals: Had I, Were I, Should I।
- Exclamatory Sentences: Here/There দিয়ে শুরু হলে verb singular।
- It is high time: Past form verb।
- Would rather / Had better: Base form।
- No sooner … than / As soon as: অতীব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Exam Tips।
- Narration: Present → Past, Past → Past Perfect, Future → would।
